JAKE W. CARPENTER
Born and raised in the Portland area, Jake started out his filmmaking career making short films with residents at the retirement community he worked at. For the last 15 years he has honed his video production skills through self-education, on-set mentorship from local legends in the industry, and formal education at Portland State University. He has experience in documentary filmmaking, live music performance, ad campaigns, and non-profit work. His breadth of knowledge and experience makes him a valuable team member on any production, and as an Adobe Certified Expert in Premiere Pro he is particularly quick and accurate in the edit. He also has plenty of experience with DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and Assimilate Scratch.
Beyond filmmaking, he is also a musician who has performed locally and toured the United States playing guitar, trombone, and drums. He's pretty fun to be around, and generally a pretty nice guy. He can complete a Wednesday New York Times crossword in about 15 minutes.
